I can't believe that Bastille Day is already upon us. This year has flown by. You may have noticed that we published fewer books this year. Just exactly what have we been up to at Le French Book? We've been busy with projects, not all of them mystery translations. Here's a rundown.
- Amy and Sally have been working on the next Winemaker Detective novel. I just got the final draft. Yay. Can't wait to get it out to our readers.
- Due to popular demand, we've been building our translation and publishing services business. We translate both French to English and English to French for authors and other publishing houses. We also provide publishing support services in both languages, including structural editing, copyediting, design and layout work, and other publishing support. For example, we helped Dr. Chiufang Hwang get one of her books published in French, Spanish, and soon in German.
- This year, I also worked on a fascinating translation for Columbia University Press (more about that when it comes out).
- We've been working closely with Frédérique Molay on her new book that will soon be published in French by Amazon Publishing France.
I will be honest, though, we also went through some deep questioning. In the end, it's clear to us that Le French Book is truly a passion. We want to keep bringing value to our readers however we can, and we are truly grateful for your continued interest and support.
Right now, we are exploring new titles to publish and perhaps new genres as well. Feel free to pitch in ideas.
Happy Bastille Day.
